While Tony and I were in Hawaii there wasn't a day that went by we weren't thinking of Georgia and the
Handsaker's. We had an amazing time with the family but I almost felt guilty being there knowing what one of my dearest friends was going through. Thanks to
FaceBook we found out there was going to be a 5k walk/run supporting Leukemia/Lymphoma in Seattle.
100% of the proceeds went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
From there......we organized TEAM GEORGIA!!!!!!!! It was an amazing day! We must of had 35-40 people come out and participate. Everyone from former colleagues at
WaMu,
sorority sisters, PEPS group, family and friends. I was so
nervous because the night before the race it was
raining sideways. I had my doubts but everything turned out perfect. I can't wait for Brian, Alison and Georgia to join us next year. We love you Georgia.... you tell those doc's who's boss.....keep your
sassiness and come home soon!
