Team Georgia

While Tony and I were in Hawaii there wasn't a day that went by we weren't thinking of Georgia and the Handsaker's. We had an amazing time with the family but I almost felt guilty being there knowing what one of my dearest friends was going through. Thanks to FaceBook we found out there was going to be a 5k walk/run supporting Leukemia/Lymphoma in Seattle. 100% of the proceeds went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

From there......we organized TEAM GEORGIA!!!!!!!! It was an amazing day! We must of had 35-40 people come out and participate. Everyone from former colleagues at WaMu, sorority sisters, PEPS group, family and friends. I was so nervous because the night before the race it was raining sideways. I had my doubts but everything turned out perfect. I can't wait for Brian, Alison and Georgia to join us next year. We love you Georgia.... you tell those doc's who's boss.....keep your sassiness and come home soon! XOXOX

Sweet Georgia

I've been a bit unsure of whether or not I wanted to say anything about this last week. Needless to say it's been one of the worst weeks and my heart goes out to Alison, Brian and Georgia every minute of the day.
As you may have heard- Georgia was checked into Children's Hospital a week ago and has been diagnosed with cancer. At this point Al and Brian are hopeful to get some sort of answer either tomorrow or Tuesday. All week I've been thinking about Al and Georgia....this isn't fare..it's not right....Georgia's not even 1....this isn't real...what can I do....how can I take this pain away from Georgia and Alison.
Today I had the opportunity to see Georgia. I wasn't sure how this was all going to play out....all I knew was I HAVE to be strong for Alison and Georgia. There's no room for crying...it's not about me...it's about being there for Al and G. I walked into the room and Miss Georgia was hanging in her scrubs and her PINK barrette. Only a sassy little thing like Georgia could pull this off. As you can imagine the family is tired, but I will say this ...Georgia is still as sassy as ever. She brightens a room up with her smile.....her screams & laughter are contagious.....and I can't wait for her to come home so we can celebrate her birthday next month.
The reason why I decided to post the news about Georgia is because I want everyone out there that reads our blog to please, please, please say some prayers and think positive thoughts for the Handsaker family. They need all the help they can get!
I love you Miss G!!!!! xoxoxo

Pork Party!

Some friends of ours Kristin and Brian celebrated their 3rd year anniversary this last month....there were no candles, no fancy dinner reservations and no romantic cards at this celebration. Instead they decided to close down the block, hire a DJ and invite all their friends and neighbors to roast a pig...Cahachina style!

If you're a vegetarian....then you'll want to look away...... :)

Two thumbs up for PORK!

Don't mess with Victor.....he's all serious when it come's to a PORK party :)
Yummy...jello shots!

Where did the month go???!!!!

I can't believe we're essentially a week away until October. This month has flown by and I've been a very bad blogger :( I've been with the T-Mobile permanently for last month and it seems like all I do is work so hopefully things will get back to normal and I can start blogging again. The excitement this last month is Mags and Geeman are married and the Muhlenkamps plus Jason were in town. Some of Mag's girls weekend away and wedding pics are below. I'm working on downloading the Muuhlenkamps pics so stay tuned! We had a blast....it was truly a special trip this time because our nephew Jason was in town. Little did I know I could be so cool one minute and the next thing I know....I'm LAME!!!! Thank you Jason for making our month. We had a blast with family and can't wait to play Phase 10 in January.

Friends and Family from the Midwest

Here's some of our cousin's visitting from Michigan (Troy & Shane) at Alki. We miss you guys!!!! Come back again!!!!

Here's Dave and us at Duke's. Dave is a childhood friend of Tony's who grew up across the street. I think Dave is about 5 years older than Tony. Tony said he was the COOL kid in the neighborhood. All I know is that Dave makes me feel short!
