Since Alison hasn't had the chance to join us this last year we thought it would be fun to make Valentine's Day cards for Georgia. I'm not Martha Stewart but I think they're pretty cute!

Catching Up Time....
A couple of days ago the girls and I surprised Trina and showed up unannounced ready for some girl time and LOTS of food. With all of our schedules it's hard to see each other as much as we want so it was truly a treat to hang with my girls....and of course the Block boys.
Someone missing his two front teeth!
Sorry Mags.... your eye's were closed.....surprise surprise...:)
Alex and Nevie playing dress up :)
Aww...my first mommy's Valentines Day card..... the best is not what's inside....it's what's on the back....
For some reason I'm all about eating Apple Fritters these days.......FYI....just in case you're wondering the best Apple Fritter in town is from the Metropolitan Market.....HANDS DOWN!
The WaMu girls and I got together this last month for a little catching up. We try to get together every few months but it's a little hard with all of our hectic schedule's. There's a lot going on...people having baby's, weddings, new relationships.....
Baby Brain
Ok so here's my first experience with baby brain...... I've been trying to log into my Blogger account for the last few weeks and have come up unsuccessful. Yours truly couldn't remember our login for the life of me. I've been blogging for the last year with no problems but I guess this is the start of baby brain. For some reason it's the little things I can't seem to remember.... oh well.... apparently it's suppose to get worse so lesson learned .....I've made a list of all my logins and passwords.
Stay tuned.... I have some catch up blooging to do this weekend :)

We have a bun in the oven!
This was from our first ultrasound.....we were 5 weeks and 1 day.
We have a bun in the oven!!!!!!!! Baby Muhlenkamp is expected to make an appearance on August 30th. Tony thinks we'll be going into "labor" on "Labor Day" but that just wrong to say to full term prego lady. Especially in the summer time :)
When I found out I was pregnant I couldn't believe the news.....in fact I didn't believe it at all..... I was in total denial. 3 days went by and 10 pregnancy test later..... I was convinced and couldn't wait to tell Tony. I knew I had to come up with some special way of sharing the news about starting our family. I couldn't just tell Tony we're pregnant.....Tony's the type of guy who wants it all.... he wants the whole experience of being surprised of becoming a new dad. It's like what you see in the movies or sappy Hallmark commercials...... honestly I don't blame him..... I love that kind of stuff too!
I was trying to save the news for Christmas morning but that idea went out the door in about 3 days. There was NO way I could wait another minute without going crazy. So on December 21st we had a little holiday get together with some friends. As always we had quite the menu to prepare. This was the perfect set up for my "bun in the oven" idea. Secretly I planted a bun in the oven while Tony and I were cooking up some tasty treats. I asked Tony to open the oven door because I needed some help getting all the food in the oven. When he opened it up he had a puzzled look on his face. I asked about 5 times..."what is that?". He must have thought I was crazy..... there was no way 1 bun was going to feed all our friends :) Eventually when he finally got the whole "bun in the oven" it was the best Christmas gift either one of us could have asked for.
We will be 12 weeks on Valentine's Day. I have to say I'm pretty lucky. The hardest thing about my first trimester was keeping it a secret. Of course our families and few close friends know but essentially I've been on lock down for the last few weeks because I'm horrible with keeping secrets like this. Especially because Tony and I are so excited to be starting a family. I guess this was a good thing....this whole "lock down" gave me some time to catch up on my sleep. Apparently baby Muhlenkamp has me in training. No sleep for mommy!! In fact 2:00am is the new 6:00am for me. Do you know want kind of TV is on at 2:00am in the morning???
Now that the secrets out let the blogging begin!!!

Time to Cook!!!!!!!!!

A lot of you have been asking about the Handsaker family and wondering if there's anything you can do to help...... well now there is!!!! Put on your apron...it's time to show your love and support through your cooking.
Alison, Brian and Georgia will be checking back into Children's Hospital on 1/9/2011. They would love some home cooked meals during their 6 -8 week stay. If you have any interest in signing up for their "meal calendar", please visit http://mealbaby.com/viewregistry/337275 If you're out of state or maybe cooking isn't your strength than you can purchase a Starbucks gift card for the parents. We all know how important caffeine is.....especially as a parent. I believe Georgia is scheduled to receive her bone marrow transplant at the end of January so please keep her in your prayers. We can't wait for a speedy recovery and healthy 2011!!!!!
