Green Thumb

It's that time of year again!!!! I never thought I would get so excited about yard work and growing my own vegetables....but it's true ladies and gentlemen....yours truly is a garndening geek! Maybe I was a farmer in my past life, maybe it's Tony's Ohio heritage rubbing off on me??? Needless to say my gardening shoes are pink so I'm at least a fashionable gardening geek :) Last year was our first stab at growing our own vegetables and herbs. We had some "growing pains" and are excited to get a head start this year. We're going to try to grow Oregon Sugar Beans, Pole Beans, Tomatoes, Radish's, Lettuce, Onions, 2 kinds of Chives, Basil, Mint and Parsley.

week 1

week 2

Somethings fishy.....

I had my first Crawfish experience this last week........ Maybe if we were in Louisiana I would have enjoyed them more. As usual Tony had no problem getting them down....!!!!!
. Hmmmmm.....I'm not to sure about this.....??

Awww......they're cute little buggers!

Victor Time Again :)

Caroline and Andre actually trusted us again to watch little Victor....well he's not so little anymore.....Monkey time.....

Good things come in small packages....

I think giving up the booth was a fare trade.......

Chicago

Last month was crazy and went way too fast so needless to say I didn't do a very good job updating the blog. OK...here we go...where do I start??? Our friend John Smith from Chicago was in town for business. It's always great to see John. John and Tony together is a guaranteed laugh!!!!! It's like watching Animal House & Dumb and Dumber (in a good way). Since John has been to Seattle several times we ended up skipping the whole tourist thing and started the day with Bloody Marys with bacon vodka...... trouble??!!!
Speaking of Chicago......by now I'm sure most of you have seen Tony's restaurant booth. Tony bought the booth back in 1995(the year a I graduated high school). That booth and Tony have seen some good partying days. In fact he couldn't part with it when he moved up to Seattle. For the last few years the booth has been sitting in our garage...next to the couch on wheels. Great for party's.....not so great for space. So.....we had to make some changes....we said our farewell's to make room for.....

You'll have to check out our next posting...... :)
